Another iteration of the FI into revolt, this time with malta. In my opinion one of the weakest fast revolt as it is not very fast nor well protected. You don't have a fast age 3 nor a fort and only one factory with no tycoon age up meaning a "delayed revolt" for hungary is not an option. However, it can catch many people off guard as few expect a revolt from malta and your age up feature military units, making your push more potent.

Game plan :

Age up to industrial as fast as possible then revolt to barbary states to catch your opponent off guard and decapitate his economy.

Age I :

Perform a standard TP 16/20 opening. If you have pro level micro you can do a market+TP opening, but the build does not require it. The rest of the guide is written with a market opening in mind. 

Build a TP and chop for a house. Explorer focus on wood and food treasures until there is enough wood to build the house then focus on food exclusively. Ship 3 villagers first.

Age up with the governor. In transition switch explorer to focus on wood and coin treasure as they are worth the most villager seconds. Build a market, a church, research hunting dogs and mine 100c. Queue 3 villagers in your TC.

Age 2 :

In age 2 build a church, the tower, and send 700c to macro for age 3. The macro is tight. Your 3rd shipment should be up. You have options :

  • 700w : greediest option. Requires you herd 3 hunts in base. In transition sell food at the market to research steel traps, then placer mines. Build a 2nd TP with your explorer and 3 houses. One placer mine is up, mine 200c.
  • 7 cows : safer option if you have 2 hunts in base. Do not eat them yet. In transition mine 200c and chop for two houses.
  • Military shipments : If case of an attack. This will derail your FI. Consider switching to an age 3 build.

Age 3 :

Ship 1000c whenever you can. When the shipment is halfway through, eat your cows if you sent them. You should have enough food to click up with the war minister (safer) or the engineer (more punch but beware of cavalry timings) in early age 4.

In transition ship 1000w, build another house if you are not at 50 population cap, and macro for 1000c by mining and selling excess food. Queue 2 villagers in your TC.

Age 4 :

Ship the 4 falconets. Revolt as soon as you have the resources to do so. Then push. Culverins are the bane of your existence but you have hospitalers and order dragoons to deal with them.
